A New Day
Last night marked the start of “Life Without Lute” and the Wildcats jumped out to a good start, giving Russ Pennell his first NCAA coaching victory. FAU was not too good, and the sloppiness was definitely there for the ‘Cats, but we definitely saw how we can win games this year. For example, when Nic Wise is hitting his outside shots, good luck stopping him at all. Also when Chase Budinger wants his points, he can get them (IE when he drove through the lane and dunked over FAU’s biggest guy). And there was definitely plenty to like from the Fogg/Judkins duo who were both very active during their minutes. But we also saw how we can lose games, Jordan Hill picking up stupid fouls, not getting rebounds against smaller teams, and giving up open threes. But the team got better throughout the game and Arizona is undefeated, something Kentucky cannot claim.
So let’s hope we can do it again tonight. Bear Down and Beat the Blazers!! (930 Wildcat time, ESPN2)
